01The short version

  • We collect what you type into the quote form, and technical logs our server keeps to run and protect the site.
  • We use it to answer your request and to manage the shipment that follows. That is it.
  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
  • No analytics, advertising or tracking cookie loads unless you allow it. By default, none do.
  • We never publish customer names, shipment positions, cargo values or documents on this website.
  • You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: privacy@dcilogistics.us.

The rest of this page is the detail behind those six points.

02Who we are

DCI Logistics LLC is a licensed property broker based in Laredo, Texas, United States, registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration under USDOT 4303609 and MC-1676403. We are the controller of the information described here.

Privacy contact: privacy@dcilogistics.us

03What we collect

Information you give us

The quote and contact form on this website collects exactly the fields it displays. Nothing is collected invisibly alongside them.

Field Required
NameYes
Work emailYes
Origin and destinationYes
CompanyNo
PhoneNo
Commodity, weight, dimensionsNo
Service, frequency, requested pickup dateNo
Whether the shipment contains hazardous materialsNo
Cargo insurance selection (Mexico movements)No
Additional information (free text)No
Your acceptance of our Terms and this policyYes

We also receive whatever you choose to send us by email or tell us by telephone, and the information exchanged while we arrange and manage a shipment for you.

Information collected automatically

  • Web server logs. Our server records the IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status, bytes served, referring page and user-agent string for each request. This is standard operational logging, used to run the site, diagnose faults and detect abuse.
  • Form submission metadata. When you submit the form, our API logs a random request identifier, the outcome, how long it took, and whether the movement involved Mexico. Where a submission is rate-limited, the IP address is recorded as a truncated hash rather than in the clear. The shipment details and your message are not written to these logs.
  • Anti-abuse signals. A hidden field that only automated submitters fill in, and the elapsed time between the page loading and the form being submitted. Both are discarded after the request.

Information from carriers

Where a motor carrier works with us, we collect the company’s legal name, DBA, USDOT and MC numbers, contact details, insurance certificates, equipment and service area. Where tax or payment documentation is required, it is exchanged through a secure channel and not through a public web form.

04Why we collect it

  • To respond to your quotation or contact request.
  • To arrange, coordinate and manage the transportation and related services you ask us for.
  • To communicate with you about a shipment in progress.
  • To meet our record-keeping, tax and regulatory obligations.
  • To operate, secure and improve this website and our service.
  • To prevent fraud, including freight fraud and payment diversion.

We do not use quote submissions to build marketing profiles, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you requested a quote.

05What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • We do not place shipment details in URLs, query strings or analytics events.
  • We do not publish customer identities, live shipment positions, cargo values, commercial documents or driver details anywhere on this website. The shipment shown on our technology pages is fictitious demonstration data.
  • We do not load third-party fonts, maps, chat widgets, video embeds or social pixels. Every asset on this site is served from our own domain.
  • We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies at all.

06Who we share it with

We share information only where it is needed to do the job you asked for, or where the law requires it.

Recipient What and why
Microsoft (Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Graph) Your form submission is delivered to our mailboxes through Microsoft Graph, and our email runs on Microsoft 365. Microsoft processes it as our service provider.
Motor carriers, drayage carriers, warehouses, transfer facilities Shipment details necessary to perform the movement. Not shared before there is a shipment to perform.
Licensed customs brokers Documentation required to file the customs entry for your shipment.
Insurers Where you have expressly asked us to arrange cargo insurance, or where a claim is presented.
Our hosting provider The server that runs this website and receives your submission.
Professional advisers and authorities Where required by law, legal process, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Because we arrange cross-border transportation, information about a shipment will ordinarily be transferred to and processed in the countries the shipment moves through — principally the United States, Mexico and Canada.

07Cookies and analytics

This site sets one cookie by default: the one that remembers your cookie choice. Nothing else is set until you choose to allow it, and the banner does not pre-tick anything.

We do not currently run any analytics or advertising product. The consent mechanism includes an analytics category so that, if we ever add measurement, it will be off until you turn it on — rather than us switching it on and updating a policy afterwards.

The full inventory is in the Cookie Policy. You can change your choice at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

08How long we keep it

What How long
Quote and contact submissions For as long as needed to respond and, where a shipment follows, for the period our commercial, tax and regulatory record-keeping obligations require.
Shipment records For the period required by our record-keeping, tax and regulatory obligations.
Queued submission (only if email delivery fails) Held on the server in a root-owned directory with restricted file permissions, and deleted as soon as it is delivered. After repeated delivery failure it is flagged for manual handling.
Web server logs Rotated on a short cycle in the ordinary course of server operation.
Anti-abuse signals Discarded when the request completes. Rate-limit counters are held in memory only and expire within minutes.
Consent cookie 180 days, or until you change or clear it.

09How we protect it

  • The entire site is served over HTTPS only, with HSTS enabled.
  • The form endpoint validates and sanitises every field on the server, independently of the browser, and enforces payload size limits and rate limits.
  • The submission is sent in the request body. It never appears in a URL, a query string, a referrer header or an analytics event.
  • Mail credentials are held in a root-owned, restricted-permission file on the server, outside the source repository and outside anything served over HTTP.
  • Application logs record outcomes and timings, never credentials, tokens, shipment details or message bodies.
  • Access to mailboxes and systems is limited to the people who need it.

No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. To report a security concern: security@dcilogistics.us.

10Your choices and requests

Whether or not a particular statute gives you a formal right, we will as a matter of policy:

  • tell you what information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is inaccurate;
  • delete information, where we are not required to keep it for a legal, tax, regulatory or contractual reason;
  • provide a copy of the information you gave us;
  • stop sending you commercial email, on request or by using the unsubscribe mechanism.

Write to privacy@dcilogistics.us with enough detail for us to find the records. We may need to verify your identity before acting, which is a protection for you rather than an obstacle. We will respond within a reasonable period and, where a statutory period applies, within it.

If you are unhappy with our response, tell us and we will look at it again. You may also have the right to complain to the relevant authority in your jurisdiction.

11Scope and applicable law

This policy covers the website at dcilogistics.us and the information we handle in arranging logistics services. It does not cover the independent practices of the carriers, customs brokers, warehouses or other providers involved in a shipment, each of which operates under its own policies.

Almost all of the information we handle is business contact and shipment information, provided by people acting in a commercial capacity on behalf of a company. That matters legally: several United States state privacy statutes — including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act — define the individuals they protect as residents acting in an individual or household context, and expressly exclude individuals acting in a commercial or employment context.

We have therefore not claimed on this page that any particular statute applies to us, because whether it does depends on facts about scope, thresholds and exemptions. What we have done instead is describe our actual practice accurately and offer the practical rights above to anyone who asks, regardless of where they are.

If you believe a specific statutory right applies to you and to your information, tell us which one when you write, and we will address it directly.

12Children

This is a business-to-business freight service. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

13Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or what we do with it, we will update this page and the last-updated date at the head of it. Where a change is material, we will make it visible rather than quietly amending the text.
